In the Kansas State Graphic Design program, each senior must complete a capstone research paper and project. Each year there is a chosen theme for the capstones, and the school year 2022-2023's topic was on the state of Kansas. My book, The Resurgence of Retro Design, is my research paper which is focused on local shops in Kansas and Kansas City that showcase retro-like designs. My second book, The Use of Retro Design (Then & Now), is my project that takes my research topic further and into the form of a coffee table book. This book delves into the specific typography and design by each decade that spans from the 50's to the 70's.
